AAPA Principles

Members of AAPA will:
  • Not engage directly or indirectly in piracy
  • Maintain and promote internal anti-piracy policies and activities of the highest standard
  • Act responsibly and with integrity in dealing with partners, other members, and competent authorities
  • Facilitate between members and with competent authorities the sharing of intelligence and information about piracy and counterfeiting activities, subject to relevant laws
  • Co-ordinate anti-piracy activities with other members and affiliated bodies where appropriate, subject to relevant laws and any agreement between members
  • Support AAPA activities aimed at improving legislators understanding of piracy issues and the need for effective legislation
  • Not use AAPA membership for marketing purposes
  • Do nothing to undermine these principles

Antitrust

The Alliance shall not enter into any discussion, activity or conduct that may infringe, on its part or on the part of its members, any applicable competition law. By way of example, members shall not discuss, communicate or exchange any commercially sensitive information, including non-public information relating to prices, marketing and advertising strategy, costs and revenues, trading terms and conditions with third parties, including purchasing strategy, terms of supply, trade programmes or distribution strategy. This applies not only to discussions in formal meetings but also to informal discussions before, during and after meetings.
